Join the association

Open to any mobile bar or event bartending operator in Oklahoma. The criteria are published in full on the Standards page — nothing is decided that isn't written there.

Answer honestly — “not yet” does not disqualify you from applying; the association exists to help operators meet the standard.

Bartenders hold current ABLE Employee/Event licences (37A O.S. § 2-121)
General liability AND liquor liability insurance in force
Written service policy covering ID checks and refusal of service
A named person responsible for compliance at each event
Written client agreements in use
Two years' operating history OR a sponsoring member
No unresolved ABLE enforcement action
Antitrust compliance policy
  • No discussion of prices, rates, wages, fees, or discounts among members — ever, in any OMBA space.
  • No dividing customers, venues, dates, or territory.
  • OMBA never asks a venue to hire only members or only certified operators.
  • Membership decisions are made only against the published criteria, documented, and appealable.
  • Certification is available to non-members on equivalent terms.
